Power changes people. Presidents almost always try their hand at war. Nothing enhances a person’s sense of power more than initiating and prevailing in a military adventure. To a president, the opportunity is all but irresistible. Don’t look for Obama to do anything else in Iraq or Iran. Those are another president’s adventure. Obama has just a little less than 4 years to start his own war. Historical precedent indicates that an Obama military adventure is somewhere in the offing.
