“Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!”

_ Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin was terribly misguided when he made that quote. Democracy had never been thoroughly tried, so he can be forgiven for not foreseeing that there were more serious issues with the abuse of democracy than what originates with ordinary people. So, the United States is organized as a republic and that is supposed to keep the masses from voting everything in the treasury into their own pockets. Continue reading

Thinking For Survival

Thinking devoted to the task of survival is a different task than thinking as a way to create happiness. At times it makes sense to emphasize thinking for survival. Without survival  happiness is not a possibility. Without surviving somewhat above the subsistence level happiness is not very likely. Continue reading

The one thing that is most relevant is that all living things have an innate ability to almost flawlessly recognize danger and opportunities in the present moment. Continue reading

Where Stupidity Rules

Download PDF Version
NeumanAs Americans go about their daily lives as individuals, many are brilliant and completely adept at what they do. When they participate in groups or aggregations of people, all but a few are completely stupid.

Notice the discourse in the political arena. Do you hear are read anyone making well reasoned intellectual arguments as to why one way is better than another? How often are attempts made to get you to change your mind or adopt an idea without thinking? Look and read, you won’t find an exception. Politics is the art of getting folks to act according to another wishes without thinking. Continue reading

Why are Billionaires Pro Immigration?

Is it a confusing to you that the billionaire class is one hundred percent behind unbounded unlimited immigration? There is a reason. Billionaires are importing customers. You are importing neighbors.

Billionaires will interact with immigrants by selling them goods and services. You will interact with immigrants on the street where customs, outlooks and behaviors will clash.

Fascism is a great economic system for the rich and powerful. Government is used to transfer wealth and income from the poor and middle class to folks at the upper income levels. Fascism hurts the rich in only one way. The poor are a great market for goods and services. They spend all of the money they earn and they spend it on what the billionaire class produces. Fascism so destroys the poor that the billionaire class ends up killing off their natural market. The solution is to import more poor people. They work cheap and spend all they make.

Warren Buffet and Howard Schultz aggressively support immigration for any reason and from any part of the world. Immigration is their cash cow. The public will pay all the costs and they will reap the benefits. Why wouldn’t these folks welcome masses of new people with open arms?

The rich so want to bolster the market they have destroyed that their recommendation is to ignore the statute that is on the books. Their preference is to disregard the law completely and use selective enforcement only when absolutely necessary. Can you imagine a city telling a police force that the speed limit is just a guide and to not bother giving out tickets to tourists who are speeding or to only give tickets to cars with out of state licenses? Ignoring an immigration statute is based on that same type of reasoning.

The Cryptocracy is no Conspiracy

Conspiracy theories are rare. The label conspiracy is normally used to dismiss good ideas and unique observations. What is deemed a conspiracy is usually a consortium of unaffiliated actors who share similar incentives. There is no formal organization.

In the fantasy world voters live in, all that is accomplished through government goes through congress via representation or through some other legitimate government agency. In the real world where government actually operates, everything that is gained through government occurs by working outside the formal system. Activities within the halls of congress are only a formality.

Real world phenomena is what I explain. The United States government, in terms of how it operates is just like a crime family. Voters imagine that their needs are important to representatives but voters are only useful idiots. Getting you on board as a supporter is important but what you want, need or get is of no consequence at all. Getting something from government is usually accomplished by paying a large sum of money or by force or political power.

The trouble Donald Trump is experiencing is similar to what anyone would experience as a result of tampering with the operation of a crime family in the private sector.

Government is for taking, not for giving. If you are a private citizen of ordinary means, you are a giver and others with more power take what you have. You may believe you have a chance of getting something, but I guarantee that you don’t.

The destroy Trump efforts are not to help you. They are to remove him as a threat to the folks who actually do get what they want from government. Notice that no one is trying to educate you. The task is to get you to take action without thinking. That is the purpose of predatory news.

There is no conspiracy. There is no need for one. There is a cryptocracy however. This is not an organization where dues are paid and identification cards issued. It is ordinary billionaires who use government as a tool for profit. Basically the news media works for and is paid by the informal cryptocracy. The cryptic part of all of this comes because you can’t fathom that your government works this way. It does and that is why life for ordinary people becomes worse with each passing day. All through school, children are given the impression that democracy is a gentle process where everyone ends up holding hands celebrating a group decision. In the real world where we all live and suffer, it works in an exactly opposite way.

The democratic process is completely brutal.

What is an Immigrant Worth?

I will tell you again that there is only one natural incentive that is relevant in economics. That is self interest. The incentive to serve on the part of those elected is completely imaginary.

There are many reasons why immigrants come to the United States.  That is not the topic of the article. The concern here is what are immigrants worth to United States citizens who are actively drawing them in.

We can ignore the virtue signaling as in “See I am a good person, I want to open our borders to everyone seeking refuge or a better life.” That is all mush. People who virtue signal have no power to do anything and are too lazy to do anything that makes a difference. They have a vision of the world and in their mind that makes them superior and even better it makes others see them in a superior light, so they believe.

Immigrants are worth billions and billions of dollars to the elite who are billionaires and who dictate policy to your government. An immigrant from Syria may be poor but in the United States, he is a better market for goods and services than he would be in his old country. Countless dollars can be made by selling things to the poor and oppressed. It matters not if the average income of the country drops to close to zero. The shear numbers of a massive ignorant population guarantee astronomical profits to the billionaires who are determined to drag immigrants in.

To a level headed American, and immigrant is worth no more or no less than anyone else.

To the billionaire investor class, a massive uneducated population is a gold mine in terms of profit. What are immigrants worth? They are worth countless dollars to the upper class who are determined to draw them in.

As I am finishing this up, my wife Jean threw in the fact that billionaires could care less whether money comes to them through government by way of the immigrants or as part of the private sector. Benefits to the poor come out of the pockets of the middle class when government is involved. To the elite, it is all profit.

Suicide of the Progressive Movement

Donald Trump did nothing to destroy the progressive movement. It was more like a suicide. For eight years, progressives have supported economics by force, via the military. Both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton embraced Wall Street, the elite and the entire fascist movement. The rank and file of the progressive movement have focused on using government to insure they never hear anything but kind words. Certain groups were deemed special people but really got nothing out of the Democratic party except kind words of course. The biggest fear seems to be that of losing their status as special people. For all that is said about discrimination, it is actually fairly rare. For all of the anger against white males and others, there really is no means  to discrimination within this group. It is not in my nature but for the life of me, I can’t think of a way I could discriminate against anyone if I wanted to.  What is lacking is leverage and really an incentive to discriminate.

Various people have certain types of other people they don’t like. There just isn’t any way to make everyone be nice to everyone else, at least not by using government.

Over the last eight years, progressives have delivered absolutely nothing to their supporters. Instead, they sold the country down the river by going along with fascist initiatives.

The nerve of these people, amazes me. After all of the non-progressive things they have sponsored and participated in, they expect people to believe what they have to say about Donald Trump.

Progressives have now joined conservatives in that they are part of the ghost of a movement that used to have some value. Hollywood, athletes and other celebrities are making complete fools out of themselves with their comments and demonstrations with regard to Trump.

What fools these people are. The country didn’t vote for Trump. The country voted against continuing to be suckers for the same people who have been robbing them blind for eight years.* Discrediting Trump will not help their situation. If progressives want to be appreciated again, they must find an element of character to display.

If you are a progressive and you are upset at Trump, I am telling you, you are the problem, not him. He got rid of you and that is all his supporters wanted.

*The fascist movement that has taken over the country began with Ronald Reagan’s embracement of the Full Employment Act of 1978. It decelerated greatly under George W. Bush and continued through the Obama administration.

Economics by Force

For all but the last few hundred years of history, economic expansion and the acquisition of big things came by using force.  There are really only two economic systems, taking by force or trade by mutual agreement. The United States has always had a combination of the two systems. We took what land we wanted by forcing native Americans off their land and made imperialist acquisitions by using the military. During the early days of the country domestic trade was almost all by mutual agreement. This was the free market system. Over the years industrialists learned to draw subsidies from the government and use tax payers to help finance their enterprises. Railroads got free land from the government, for example.

Today, consumers are still bound by free market incentives but producers have learned how to use force in achieving their economic goals. When force is used, it is deemed in the national interest. The system whereby the largest industries use force as a means of growing is called fascism. Today 100% of bills on which congress votes are efforts to use force as a means of making a profit. Obamacare is a system of using force to make gains in the industries which lobbied to have the bill passed. Consumers are forced to buy ethanol as part of their gasoline. The TARP bill in 2008 was passed to preserve profits and assets of the richest Americans. Over time fascism becomes a feeding frenzy aimed at acquiring profits by controlling markets by use of government.

The nation’s military is used as a means of making economic gains and earning profits.

Fascism is socialism where the benefits are from the top down. More typically socialism starts under the auspice of helping the poor, or providing benefits from the bottom up. In any case, any time economics by force is used, there is a net loss to society. The appearance may be otherwise but that is because with free markets, benefits are initially invisible

During the Bush and Obama administrations, economics by force was used constantly and to the exclusion of everything else. So, will this all change now that Trump is president? So far, all indications are that the use of force will continue. That is what protectionism is. I say protectionism but it is hard to say exactly what the changes will be since only a handful of people around the globe know what is contained in the trade agreements.

The only thing a government can do to bolster economic activity is to set up rules for free markets and enforce those rules. Citizens must have the confidence to rely on themselves instead of upon government dictates.  So far there is no evidence of those things happening. It looks as if a Trump administration will usher in another round of economics by force but that new tools will be used.

As fascism progresses, destruction climbs the income ladder. The poor are destroyed first, followed by the middle class followed by the upper middle class and so on. The destruction occurs because wealth and income are constantly being transfered from the bottom to the top. Eventually there is enough destruction that the entire system collapses. The United States is very close to the last stage now.

Fidel Castro

bbWorld leaders are always sociopaths. The job of world leader is not easy to get. The competition to get these jobs is so stiff that only people with pronounced special personality characteristics can obtain them.  The polite term is “political personality.”  Sociopath is a synonym. Psychopath and sociopath are mostly used interchangeably.  Any of these terms would be fine for describing Castro.

When Castro took over in Cuba, he replaced fascist dictator Fulgencio Batista. Under the fascist Batista, the economy went the way fascist economies always go. He was replaced by Castro who offered communism as an alternative. The elite in Cuba all left for the United States and a few other countries. It is hard to say which system was worse. Socialist societies mostly survive poorly. Fascist societies destroy themselves completely.

Under Batista, crime and government merged, just as is the case in the United States today. Organized crime ran Batista’s Cuba just as organized crime runs our system in the United States.

As a killer, Fidel Castro was about average. It is fine to criticize Castro for his crimes against humanity.  Americans take great comfort in shaking fingers at foreign despots. That is fine. They are guilty as charged.

Americans should not be blinded to the United States’ initiated atrocities. It would take many lifetimes for Castro to kill as many people as the United States has in the mideast in the effort to control and monetize their natural resources.

It is a principle of natural law that an action undertaken for an immoral purpose will have a negative outcome. Calling military adventures fights for freedom and other euphemisms doesn’t make them anything other than what they are.
