Deep State Stock Market Logic

Download PDF Version Originally Published 3/13/2019

Even a modest bear market will go a long way towards destroying the deep state. Deep State operatives are buying outright to control the trend of the market.  What is their alternative?

The choice is to invest more outright or have ones wealth completely devastated by natural market forces. The Deep State has absolutely nothing to loose by using their own resources to support the value they already have. The only alternative is to absorb a guaranteed loss and run the risk of ceasing to exist. Continue reading

Thinking For Survival

Thinking devoted to the task of survival is a different task than thinking as a way to create happiness. At times it makes sense to emphasize thinking for survival. Without survival  happiness is not a possibility. Without surviving somewhat above the subsistence level happiness is not very likely. Continue reading

There are three socialist armies currently vying for power. These are:

1.Non-Democratic Socialists Non-democratic socialism is my term. You won’t find it anywhere else. I use it because fascism is seldom used to describe an economic system even though that is what it is. Like the other two, non-democratic socialism is a system of economics by force. Continue reading

The Pope is not a Christian

Download PDF Version

One pervasive malady present in daily life is substituting credentials for competence and not understanding the consequences.  Being euphemism free, I observe the pope’s speeches and activities according how he functions.

Pope Francis has either not read the New Testament or he is ignoring it. The pope is not alone. Perhaps one in one thousand rank and file Catholics has read the bible. That is not a bad number. Among Christians, especially those who flaunt their faith, only a tiny fraction are familiar with the scriptures.

Jesus was clearly non attached with respect to the secular world, which includes government and world leaders. Jesus encouraged his disciples to be non attached also. Pope Francis.  It is Pope Francis’s approach that countries should disregard enforcing laws on an as you go basis instead of repealing the laws. Any wall Trump would build would be an effort to enforce a law that is already on the books.  Passing laws and not enforcing them is highly destructive and results a in diminished compliance will laws in general.

Pope Francis is not a Christian but he is a Catholic and head of that church. This is a Catholic issue and if they happy with it being that way, so be it. But, now that Pope Francis is causing problems for the rest of us outside of his church, I feel just fine in reining him in as I would any world leader.

It is Really Just Stealing

Download PDF Version

In the summer of 2018 Robert J. Jackson, Jr a Trump Appointee discovered that there is not a lot of innocence in the area of corporate buybacks. He noted that insiders sell stock just as the corporate buybacks are ongoing. Wow, what a surprise! It doesn’t take a genius to figure these things out. It does take a genius to know the best time to figure these things out.

In the United States, theft is perfectly legal as long as the process of the theft takes more than one step. If it takes a little abstract thinking and is two or three steps more than just pointing a gun at somebody and demanding money, no one is ever going to know a crime is being committed. That is unless some genius decides the time is right to discover some wrongdoing.

Of course corporate buybacks are nothing more than stealing.  Corporate buybacks provide corporate insiders with the fastest possible way to make the most money in the shortest period of time. Forget making money with business operations. Just use free money, provided at the expense of ordinary citizens. Have the corporation buy back its own stock, run the price up, exercise stock options, sell any other stock you own at an elevated price and get ready to do it again.

I have been writing about this issue since 2006. It really doesn’t take a genius to see what corporate buybacks are really about and why they take place. American citizens do not write checks to cover their losses from these types of things. The geniuses at the Securities and Exchange commission know these things. So do the geniuses on the Federal Reserve Open Market Committee.  The public isn’t paying attention. It is highly significant that a newly appointed Securities And Exchange Commission member has decided to be honest. They all know the truth.

The Coming Freak Show

Download PDF Version

The campaign for the 2020 presidential election has be begun. Donald Trump has less than impressive polling numbers. Those numbers are extremely high in today’s political arena. Although he is well under 50%, there is not a politician in the western world who rates anywhere near that high. Donald Trump has his supporters focused on building the wall. He has them repeating meaningless mantras like “Make America great again.” Meaningful news is never reported. Congress never shares knowledge with constituents. If they did most lawmakers would lose their jobs. In a free society, citizens need information to accomplish the task of managing government. Since only a handful of constituents know what is really going on in the world or what genuine issues are in play, ordinary people have no effect on what government does or doesn’t do.

In the meantime, the Trump economy is transferring wealth and income from the bottom of the food chain to the top at an accelerated pace. Trump’s supporters get to hear kind words from him while they are being fleeced.

Democrats are throwing hats in the ring. The cast of Democratic candidates is going to be  part of the biggest freak show the country has ever seen. Very simply every democrat is running with agendas that that no government in the universe has a chance of accomplishing. The success of their issues depends upon their representatives being selfless and filled with the imaginary incentive to serve. Turn global warming over to government and watch feeding frenzies on government money ensue as public private partnership grow. How about ending racism or bias against LGBTs? Is government going to make folks love and appreciate one another? The whole concept of democracy comes down to being a way for people who vehemently disagree to live in the same place at the same time and still participate in government.

We live in a fascist world. Fascist means top down socialism. Fascism is a form of socialism. The campaign will come down to right wing top down socialist vs. left wing classic socialists. Statistically speaking there are no free market enthusiasts in the population at all.  When the race for president comes down to two candidates both will do all possible to avoid revealing who they really are.

With free market principles abandoned, peace disappears. Economics by force is the only other option. Principles of democracy are being abandoned also. Democracy serves as a source of peace also.  Lack of peace manifests itself in more ways than can be fathomed.

Campaign 2020 begins against a backdrop that includes a highly comfortable population, even with the lost of economic viability.  The American population is too comfortable to do a lot of critical thinking.  Notice how that changes, in cases when discomfort shows itself.  The only thing that makes the outcome of the presidential race not completely predictable is the possibility that unexpected events might make the citizens uncomfortable.  As comfort decreases, thinking increases a little. Actual suffering can spur all kinds of problem solving cerebral activity.

So, unless something out of the blue wakes up voters its going to be a total freak show from now until November 2020.

Taking the Stock Market Private

So the stock market gets organized support. Is the news bad? If it is the market gets extra support.  Is the news good? Then the market get just enough support.  I have written a lot to the effect that there are advantages to centralizing and concentrating stock ownership into strong cooperative hands. Each day that goes by, corporate buybacks and central bank purchases take trade-able stock out of circulation. With every passing day, the task of elevating stock prices gets easier. There is less supply so moving stocks higher gets easier and easier. What is the end game here?

The stock market is being taken private. Don’t misunderstand. Ordinary people still own stock and quite a lot as a group. The plan is for the elite of the world to own a controlling interest in all of the world’s major corporations. That is not as hard to do as it first sounds. Free money from the government is limitless. What we are witnessing is the wealthiest segment of the world finding ways to own or control the factors of production globally. Wars for profit control land. The media as an opinion management service controls the reasoning of the general population. That leaves the capital markets of which the stock market is the most significant part.

The important point I am going to make is that there is no point at which manipulation of the stock market will be discontinued. That is because there is more to the stock market agenda than just churning out profits in the immediate time frame. Profits are a big deal but the goal of privatizing the stock market is bigger than that.

No one who understands markets or economics seriously believes it is reasonable to expect rising asset prices to generate aggregate demand indefinitely. In terms of independent and dependent variables, economic activity is the independent variable. Asset prices are the independent variable. These kinds of variables are not like wild cards in a poker game. Demand driven by increased asset prices is a reversal of the dependent and independent variable relationship. So, that process has a lifespan. No smart person believes this is a permanent situation.

The goal of privatizing the stock market is separate and independent from efforts make trading profits or using the wealth effect to generate temporary GDP numbers. The goal is to concentrate and centralize stock ownership. That effort will not be abandoned willingly.

The Truth About Presidents

Download PDF Version

How much difference does it make if the president of the United States has been a whore monger for most of his life? In my opinion it would make a world of difference except that with presidents, a thing like whore mongering is perfectly normal. The president of the United States is the person who is the current winner of life’s ongoing dominance and subservience competition. Winning at the dominance and subservience game requires certain personality attributes ordinary people don’t have. One of those is a sense of entitlement as in everything in the world is his. He just has to figure out how to get it. Continue reading

Pig Races, Hog Calling Contests, Politics

bbA political event like a presidential or congressional campaign can be easily explained with some analogies.

Pigs don’t leave the trough as long as the farmer keeps throwing in slop. Corporations and the politically powerful do not leave the trough in Washington as long as they are allowed to lobby, pass pills and force citizens buy their products and services.

A world champion hog caller and winner of countless hog calling contests  explains why she always wins. “You have to have appeal in your voice as well as power. You have to convince the pigs you have got something for them”best

The politicians in the race need to have appeal as well as power in their voices when they talk to voters. They have to convince the voters they have something for them.

When pigs run in races, the reward that is offered is one Oreo cookie placed in a trough at the end of the track. Only one pig gets the cookie but all the pigs compete as if each one had a realistic chance to eat the cookie.ballot_box_3192711b

Voters are like the pigs in a pig race. They vote for candidates thinking there will be some personal benefit for each of them.  Benefits are like the one cookie that goes to the pig that wins the race. Voters all think they have a chance of getting benefits from one of the candidates. For most, no benefits are forthcoming.

In the end the pigs get used for purposes that suit the farmer. Citizens end up getting used by the politicians who get their votes.

In an election incentives parallel the incentives pigs have in going to the trough, getting called by a farmer, serving the farmer’s interests in the end and getting nothing for their time. Most eventually get butchered.b
